도리도리는 고개를 절레절레 저을 떄 나는 의성어이다. 우리는 뭔가가 잘못되거나 실망을 하면 고개를 젓는 경향이 있다. 내 작업 도리도리는 좆된 세상을 향에 고개를 젓는 이미지이다.
붓다는 불교의 창시자이자 모든것을 초월한 자로 존경받는 사람이다. 나는 우리가 겪고있는 현대 세상을 비평하고 풍자하고 싶었다. 사람들의 욕심은 더 더 심해지고 통제하기 어려워지고 있다. 나는 뭐가 어떻게 돌아가고 있는지 모를정도로 많은 사건들을 듣는다. 나는 요즘 인간성을 볼수 없다.
DORIDORI
DORIDORI is the Korean onomatopoeia term for “shake shake”. We tend to shake our heads when we feel something is not right or feel disappointed. And my piece DORIDORI is a image of Buddha shaking his head toward the fucked up world.
Buddha is known as the founder of Buddhism who is revered as a fully enlightened being. I wanted to criticize and satire the modern world about what we are going through. People's greed toward others is getting more and more uncontrollable. I hear so many incidents that I cannot even figure out what is going on. I see no humanity these days.
